A 4-day weekend of classical guitar masterclasses and concerts - a ‘festival’ designed to attract classical guitarists - students, amateurs and aspiring musicians - from Delhi and outside Delhi to attend concerts by classical guitarists from India, South Korea and Europe who have studied, taught and performed widely, inspiring young classical musicians and provide a platform to explore opportunities that lie in store for them in the future.

Friday, 20th March:
- Daytime; Masterclasses at Delhi School of Music
- Evening; Madhavan Somanathan opening for Alexander Ramirez, guitar, and Sheila Arnold, piano, in concert at Delhi School of Music.
Saturday 21st March:
- Eid-al-fitr
- Morning; Extra-curricular activity (visit to India Gate)
- Afternoon; Public masterclasses at Madhavan Sir's house (F-7/10 Vasant Vihar, Basement Right)
- Evening; Concert of the Participants Part 1 (Under-15) at Madhavan Sir's house.
Sunday, 22nd March:

- Evening; Youth Mentors' concert at Delhi School of Music

Competition
Rules
The Competition has two rounds
March 19th 9:30 AM onwards (first round)
March 20th 9:30 AM onwards (first round)
March 22nd 10 AM (second round)
The first round programme should consist of two pieces of free-choice programme, plus compulsory piece, Etude Op. 60, No. 3 in A major by M. Carcassi, and shouldn’t exceed 13 minutes in length.
The final or second round will take place on the last morning of the festival. Free-choice programme of 15 minutes.
Regulations:
Contestants will be required to furnish their PAN card details at the time of entry into the competition.
Use a classical guitar with nylon strings.

The Bose-Sethi Guitar Foundation, started by Samrat Majumder and Madhavan Somanathan, is a not-for-profit collective dedicated to creating educational opportunities for serious classical guitarists in India. In keeping with this mission, we request that past beneficiaries of our scholarships refrain from applying, so that these opportunities may be extended to new participants.

Passive package includes tickets to concert @ Little Theatre Group Auditorium on the 19th of March, reserved seats in front at DSM concerts, access to all public masterclasses and lectures/workshops.
Parents and/or guardians are not recommended to buy the passive package for themselves but to buy tickets to any paid concerts separately, unless of course they wish to be part of the educational experience.
